Game On Expo weekend is officially over and I am still recovering 🥹✨
If you stopped by the MinnyWicks booth, smelled candles, grabbed a bundle, or just came to say hi, thank you! Truly. These events always remind me how special this little corner of the community is 💖
🕯️ Booth Setup & Vibes
This setup felt really good this year ✨ We had a full 10x10 space to work with again, which made everything feel a lot more open and shoppable.
We also got to showcase our new crystal candles and our updated wax melt look, which I was SO excited about. Seeing everything set up together like that just made it all feel very organized, which I am a sucker for. We ended up in such a good spot too! Right next to the voice actor area, which brought a lot of foot traffic throughout the weekend 👀✨
🎭 Cosplay Highlights
The cosplays this weekend were SO GOOD.
There were waves of people cosplaying as Gustave from Expedition 33, which was so fun to see, along with tons of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat characters walking around. And of course… our fellow Team Rockets showed up too 🖤✨
It’s always one of my favorite parts of events, seeing everyone’s creativity and how much love people have for their characters.

Seeing what sells at events vs online is always so interesting, and I am definitely taking notes for restocks and future drops ✨ You all had awesome recommendations for the next waves of keychains too!
🎀 Badge Ribbons
We brought our JJK badge ribbons to this con, and every JJK purchase came with a free ribbon 💖 It was so fun seeing people get excited about them and add a little extra flair to their badges ✨
🧠 What I Learned
Every event teaches me something, and this one had a mix of improvements and some things I hope to see change next year.
Setup felt a lot smoother this year, and the load-in times were more spaced out, which made a huge difference compared to last year.
On the flip side, our friends in Artist Alley unfortunately dealt with the same issues as before, being placed in the back of the building with very little foot traffic. It’s always tough to see, especially with how much work goes into those spaces.
Ticket prices were also pretty high this year, which definitely felt like a bit of a deterrent for crowds.
🌸 Why I’ll Be Back Next Year
Even with a few challenges, this is still an event I plan to come back to 💖
It’s very local for us, which makes logistics so much easier, and overall the performance and turnout were strong. It’s also such a great opportunity to connect with other vendors, meet content creators, and see so many long-time MinnyWicks shoppers in person 🥹✨ Those moments alone make it worth it.
