Behind the Pour: The Search for a New Swordsman Scent ⚔️

I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes update today because one of your favorite candles is going through a tiny makeover.

If you've been around MinnyWicks for a while, you probably know exactly which candle I'm talking about... our favorite green-haired swordsman. 💚 It's been one of my most-loved candles for years, and seeing so many of you come back for it again and again makes me so happy. 🥹✨

Unfortunately, the fragrance oil I've been using is no longer available, which means it's time to start the search for a new signature scent.

I'll be honest... I was super bummed when I found out. 😭 I know so many of you love this candle, and I didn't want to rush into choosing a replacement that didn't feel just right.

So... welcome to the Candle Lab! 🕯️🧪

Over the next few weeks I'll be ordering samples, pouring lots of tiny test candles, and comparing everything to find the perfect match. I'm looking for something that still captures that fresh, clean, adventurous vibe that made this candle so popular in the first place. 🌿

This one immediately caught my attention because it has that crisp, fresh-out-of-the-shower feeling that reminds me of the OG scent I used for him. I'm excited to see how it performs once it's poured into wax!

I'll definitely keep you all updated as I test different options. If it comes down to a couple of favorites, maybe we can even vote together! 🥰

Running a handmade business means things like fragrance oils can sometimes be discontinued, but I always want to make sure every change is for the better. My goal is to create a candle that still feels like the character you all know and love, even if the scent itself evolves a little along the way. ✨
